However, with the guidance and support of SBDC consultant Marina Lovell through numerous hours of one-on-one consulting sessions, Lovell helped Dabill develop a robust business plan and secure vital funding amounting to $954,000 from multiple sources. This financial infusion empowered Wild Roots to open its doors in 2022, providing high-quality childcare services in a nature-inspired setting. Today, Wild Roots serves children from 6 weeks to 12 years old and employs a staff of nine. The success of Wild Roots underscores the invaluable role of SBDC services in empowering entrepreneurs like Dabill to realize their dreams, navigate complex business landscapes, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
